December 2011:
We received a nice donation recently from Donna Bachman, who is an extremely friendly and supportive cook that volunteers at a tracking class I attend twice a year in Tygh Valley, Oregon. I had sent a thank you email and just received her response. I felt (and received permission!) to send part of the email on to everyone, since it involves all trackers and a result of the professional and selfless image put forth. Please see below, and be proud that although many folks cannot make donations, this is how RMT and trackers in general, are mainly viewed by others. I received permission to forward on part of the email, so that everyone can see how we are viewed when we are involved in a class where others are observing.
"Hello David,
Please forgive me for the delay in writing you.
I have over the years talked to many of the trackers who come my way and know of the time and effort they put into tracking. I have great respect and admiration for each and every one of you. It takes very special people willing to give of their time and yes money's to full fill this very special and unique skill. I received from a family member a small inheritance and knew I wanted to share some of it. I came across the web site for RMT this summer and was very impressed and in awe of the vast area you cover. I could not fine any other group that was like yours, especially in Oregon, and I knew I wanted to help in some way. If my small donation will help one person get started or another to further his/her skills then yes I needed to do this.
When I help with the meal side of the classes over here, tho I sometimes think I am the entertainment, I feel very proud to be a small part of a great group. I can not say enough great things about trackers. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New year!
Donna"
Always remember that what we do and how we present ourselves, is observed and remembered!
Kudos to the whole team.
